called the Windflower because the flowers will not open until the wind blows.They
have also been called Smell Foxes because the pretty flowers don't smell
as nice as they look! Although the flowers look delicate they are in fact
quite strong.However they don't last long when picked - they wither very
quickly. The juice from the roots of this plant is poisonous but the leaves can be used to produce a vinegar which can be used in a poultice to relieve muscular pains and chest complaints. |
