 A favourite flower of the poet William Wordsworth, Lesser Celandine is one of the earliest spring flowers. It was once used to treat scrofula, the "King's evil". Modern herbologists prescribe the plant in treatments for haemorrhoids - an alternative name is "Pilewort"
