10 - 30 cm high

likes shaded areas in deciduous woodlands
Can be found in the wooded area between the Visitor Centre and the Loch.

    
In early summer these charming, underrated little flowers light up otherwise dull patches of woodland where erratic shafts of sunlight catch the clumps of starry white flowers and their whorls of lance-shaped leaves. The plant is fragrant when dry and its fruits are hooked.
